Give us your favourite photo and we'll create your photo mosaic portrait. Our graphic designer will take care of creating your mosaic picture or poster and will carry out manual retouching to enhance your favourite photo.

Enhancement of the main photo:

Ideally, we work on the original photo. However, if any retouching is required, it's best to entrust this delicate stage to our graphic designer so that he can crop it to fit your mosaic project as perfectly as possible. As part of the creation process, the graphic designer takes care of the cropping required to optimise your main photo and sends it to your email inbox for validation.

We manually crop and rotate the photos as required.

Final touch-up :

When we receive your preview in your email inbox, we give you the opportunity to carry out some retouching and even test other colour variations. You benefit from these services at no extra cost.

How do I choose my main photo?

A key step in creating a photo mosaic is choosing the main photo you want to highlight. The photo mosaic technique makes it impossible to reproduce exactly the same details as the main photo. It's not possible to convey the subtlety of a landscape or a family photo with more than 3 or 4 faces... We usually refer to this as a mosaic portrait, because the face, with its simple shapes, is the most suitable. We also advise you to choose a close-up photo. As part of the creative process, the graphic designer will take care of the cropping required to optimise your main photo and send it to your email inbox for validation.

How do I choose my thumbnail photos?

Thumbnails are the small photos that will make up your main photo. Which photos to choose? For best results, remember to vary the colours and types of photos: daytime, night-time, landscape or indoor, portraits or group photos... To respect the content of the main photo as much as possible and to ensure that all the shots are in the same direction, we reserve the right, if necessary, to crop and/or rotate your thumbnail photos by hand.

Nous vous conseillons d'envoyer le plus de clichés possible, au minimum 150 photos différentes, sans dépasser la limite de 1 000. Il faut cependant comprendre que plus il y aura d'images et plus le rendu sera précis. Le but est de réaliser au mieux la mosaïque en évitant trop de répétitions d’images. À partir de 350 photos nous obtenons déjà un très beau résultat.

Si vous ne réunissez que 150 photos et que la mosaïque finale en contient 2700 carreaux, il y aura forcément un grand nombre de duplications. Même si vous réussissez à fournir le maximum de photos possible, la reproduction d'une même photo vignette sera inévitable dans les zones de couleurs uniformes. Mais soyez sans crainte, cela ne gâchera aucunement le rendu de votre mosaïque personnalisée.

For the main photo, it is ideal to work with the original. If retouching is needed, it is best to entrust this delicate task to our graphic designer, who can crop it to fit your mosaic project perfectly. During the creation process, the graphic designer handles the necessary cropping to optimize your main photo and sends it to you for approval via email. For the thumbnail photos, we manually handle the necessary cropping and rotations. However, you have the option to do these tasks yourself!

Comment créer un fichier zip sous Windows 11 : Les utilisateurs de Windows 10 peuvent utiliser l'option "Envoyer vers" de manière similaire. Tout d'abord, assurez-vous que tous les fichiers à compresser se trouvent dans un même dossier. Ensuite, faites un clic droit sur ce dossier, puis sélectionnez "Envoyer vers". Comment compresser un dossier sous Mac : Lorsque vous souhaitez compresser plusieurs fichiers ensemble sous macOS, il est important de les regrouper dans un même dossier. Pour ce faire, nous vous recommandons de créer un nouveau dossier contenant exclusivement les fichiers que vous souhaitez compresser. Ensuite, effectuez un clic droit sur ce dossier (ou maintenez la touche Ctrl enfoncée tout en cliquant dessus), puis sélectionnez l'option "Compresser les éléments". Le fichier .zip sera alors créé au même emplacement que le dossier d'origine.

It is entirely possible to change the main photo even if the mosaic creation has already begun. This service will require an additional cost. Indeed, the creation of a photo mosaic is a lengthy process that requires a lot of time and investment. While preview requests before printing and retouching are included in our rates, an additional 20 euros will be charged for creating a personalized mosaic with a new main photo or for adding or removing thumbnail photoss.

You will receive a preview of your portrait within 2 business days directly in your email inbox. You will then have the option to request adjustments to this preview. Each adjustment request will extend the shipping date by one business day. The shipping date will depend not only on the number of adjustments but also on how quickly you respond to our emails. Add one additional business day for printing to the graphic design creation time. Shipping times will vary based on the chosen delivery method:
